Jubilee Singers

Dorothy Cotton Jubilee Singers of Ithaca, NY perform African-American sacred music. The group currently numbers around 80 singers who are passionate about our unique music, as well as about educating audiences about African-American sacred music and the negro spirituals.

Dorothy Cotton

Music was important in the Civil Rights Movement. She has taught America, and many other places, the songs of the Civil Rights Movement, including “We Shall Overcome.” This theme song of the movement has gone done in history, but it is not the only one.

Youth Chorus

Come and sing gospel music, spirituals, songs of protest and civil rights, and music from the African-American tradition with other passionate kids and teens! Ages 8-18.
